Our Story
Craigard Nursery has been part of the Cumbernauld community for over 25 years. What started as a commitment to provide genuinely exceptional childcare in Dullatur has grown into something far deeper — a nursery that families return to, recommend to friends, and remember long after their children have moved on to school. We’ve cared for children from babies to school-leavers, watched families grow, and built relationships that last. Over 25 years, we’ve never lost sight of what matters most: knowing every child, supporting every family, and making Craigard feel like a second home.
Our Beautiful Setting - Dullatur Conservation Village
Craigard is housed in a beautiful listed building in the exclusive conservation village of Dullatur, surrounded by extensive secure gardens. This setting is rare — and our children thrive in it. The combination of a calm, characterful building and real outdoor space means children at Craigard experience something most nurseries simply can’t offer: room to breathe, room to explore, and room to grow.

Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a nurturing, high-quality early years environment where every child feels safe, valued, and confident to grow. We combine exceptional care with meaningful learning experiences — aligned to Curriculum for Excellence and Realising the Ambition — to give children the strongest possible start in life. Every child is valued. That isn’t just a statement — it drives everything we do.
In Partnership with North Lanarkshire Council
As a private nursery in partnership with North Lanarkshire Council, Craigard is a registered provider of the 1140 funded hours Early Learning and Childcare entitlement. Families can access their child’s funded hours through us from age 3 — and qualifying 2-year-olds may also be eligible. We work closely with NLC to ensure every family receives the support they’re entitled to.
